Cafe Europa
Burlington Ave. - Delanco
I don't know what you like to do on a cold Sunday morning - but I like nothing better than to eat....alot. So, when my parents suggested meeting them for Brunch on a recent weekend I checked the weather, to make sure it would be cold, and headed off to Cafe Europa in my hometown of Delanco. Now, as a side note, I would like to say that Delanco sorely needed a coffee shop/eatery...you know the whole "if you build it they will come" thing, well, no place is this statement truer than here.
Being that this was my first trip here I didn't know what to expect, but it didn't really matter because my parents were paying, so it was a win-win situation no matter what. Going in I was expecting the usual fare, boy was I wrong, and the price was incredible...just $9.99 per person.
The food was brought out and served "european style" (per the owner). You don't just get little tiny "tastings" of the entrees you receive a full size of everything, keep that fact in mind as you read the list of food that is INCLUDED with the brunch.
We started with a danish & muffin plate, next we had four different types of omelettes that we shared, bacon and cheese, cheese, feta and spinach, and ham and cheese. They were all over-filled and bursting at the seams. After that I would usually not have room for anything else. Not today though, I had plenty of room to continue the journey....
We were then served hash brown potatoes, potato pancakes and a bread basket that had croissants and an assortment of toast. Next was pancakes, belgium waffles, french toast and crepes. After all of that, they brought us a fresh fruit plate, which we thought was the ending to our indulgent meal but the owner came out and asked if we would like to try some dessert or small sandwiches. What?! Are you kidding....all for only $9.99??!!
I have to say this, go there, go there now, bring your appetite and eat!
Did I mention the coffee was also good?
